We are glad to see that Gov. Phil Bredesen was able, on Thursday, to announce $20 million in new grants to continue his important project and commitment to expand pre-K education in Tennessee. The new money is the latest step toward Bredesen’s stated goal of making pre-K access universal in this Tennessee. In the long term, it can only benefit our youngest students.
